As you can see from the photos, Liberty has very short and fine guard hair in his chest and arm pits.

I am using Liberty to breed to the second generation of my female crias to transfer this trait. 

At Liberties first shearing he produced:
Grade 1 in both blanket and neck, and did the same in his 2nd "09" shearing.  In 2010 his grade was bumped to grade 2 in both blanket and neck due to sorting rule changes.  His records indicate the grade of the secondaries and primaries has remained unchanged from the first shearing to the last.
Scores  9 for brightness/luster, 8 for uniformity of crimp style, 6 cpi with medium amplitude.

Patches in his first shearing, 07, was a low grade 2 in the blanket and neck. 8 crimps / inch in blanket, 9 crimps/ inch in the neck. He has a very silky handle with lovely brightness. Excellent uniformity with primary fibers being very similar in micron and character to his secondaries. Uniformity of crimp style 9.


In 08 still growing WR2 fiber in blanket and neck. Uniformity of crimp style is still 9 Brightness score 8 and density score 8. Sheared 42 oz in blanket, 22 oz in neck and 40 oz in leg, belly and chest. Made $72.50 from leg, belly and chest fiber.


09 sort record: Grade 2 in blanket, grade 2 in neck, crimp style carries into neck and goes all the way into the belly. scores 8 for brightness, 8 for uniformity of crimp style, 7 crimps / inch with medium amplitude. scores 8 for density.

Dam is true black with long fiber and very good coverage and some grey in the lineage. Dam is consistently year to year a Grade 3 and scores high in uniformity of crimp style and brightness.

Sire: Is White with Medium fawn and Dark Fawn in his lineage. Sire has consistent long fiber and very uniform in crimp style. Excellent coverage and scores 8 in Density. Sire consistently puts out cookie cutter crias regardless of dam.

Ronaldo is very uniform in his grade and crimp style. He received an 8 out of 10 for uniformity of crimp style. He grades at a 2 in his blanket and his neck. His neck fiber is 3 inches long in his second shearing. Still a grade 2. Luster scores 9 Uniformity of crimp style scores 9 out of 10
Great coverage, and tons of lustre.
He sheared in 08 - 42 oz in blanket, 18 oz in neck, 44 oz in leg, belly and chest. Made $79.75 from his legs, belly and chest.

Ivory Prince:   DOB  9/25/03             ARI 851599
Ivory is extremely soft, crimpy, and easy going.
Ivory's grand sire is the Highest Selling Male alpaca,
Royal Fawn. When accompanied by his Dam's
bloodlines, Yupanqui, Ivory is a winning combo.

Comfort Factor 99.7 (out of a possible 100)
Curve 32.3 (over 30 is the goal)


Ivory has maintained his WR2 grade from year to year. That same grade extends up his neck with the same crimp style as the blanket. High amplitude with 5 crimps per inch. He scores a brightness of 8, density of 8 and uniformity of crimp style 8 He sheared 9.3 lbs with a 5.5 inch staple as a 5 year old. Ivories primaries are consistently grade 2 with his secondarie a grade 1. They are very close. This is what we are breeding for.

Bianco Massimo:    DOB 6/21/02                ARI  841474
Bianco is very correct and his fleece is fabulous. At one year of age he sheared a whopping 6.7 total weight and 3.2 in the blanket and he only weighed 77.3 lbs. At his second shearing His total weight shorn was 9.4 and the blanket weight was 5 lbs. He weighed 123.1 lbs. At this 3rd shearing : total weight shorn 10.2 lbs. He weighs 133.7 Lbs.
Biancos fleece took 2nd place at Alpacamania 2003. 3rd place 3/03 Heart of the Valley. 3rd place fleece at Fiber Nationals Reno, NV 04. 1st Place At Heart of the Valley 3/04. Judge Shannon McConnell had this to say about Bianco. The handle on this guy is Wonderful. Amazing with the Density of this animal. 4th Place halter Northwest Alpaca Showcase 05 Heart of the Valley show: 1st place halter under judge Nard Mullan Comments were: Total Package. Very well balanced, strong architecture (crimp) very soft hand, total coverage, he stands strong over the rest of the class of 7. AOBA Nationals Placed 4 out of 7. Judge Julio Sumar remarked about Bianco's typey structure, coverage and density. Ian Watt also had this to say about Bianco. Terrific coverage, uniform crimp, and any average to below average female when bred to Bianco will produce offspring that will be ready to breed to the best herdsires in the count

Bianco has maintained his grade and fleece length. In 08 his blanket length was still 4 inches. He is consistenly a WR3. His crimp style carries into his neck With a uniformity of crimp style score of 8 out of 10.

In 08 he sheaerd 42 oz of fiber in his blanket, 24 oz in his neck and 68 oz in his lower leg, belly and chest, this last amount becomes rugs. Thats a profit of $123.25 in his legs, belly and chest.
